Buck
would like to introduce the fine mares of Lumbertown Farm
At
Lumbertown Farm, we recognize the fact that the stallion is only
part of the equation when it comes to producing quality foals. The
other part of the equation is the MARE. An outstanding stallion is
only enhanced by an outstanding mare, and we think we have both.
Our
mares were purchased first as riding horses. We believe that the
qualities that make an excellent riding horse: conformation,
disposition, willingness and gaiting ability, are also the qualities
needed to produce excellent foals. All our mares are broke to ride
and are ridden regularly.
Now
take a moment and meet them for yourself:
Baby
Cakes THWBEA #911626
15.1
Hand Black Mare

Baby
Cakes, a.k.a. Babe, is a mare with a huge heart and it shows. This
mare suffered a serious life-threatening illness a few years ago and
came back to be able to complete the Michigan Trail Riders
Shore-to-Shore ride in 2000. (click
on the horse to learn more about the MTRA)
As
you can tell from the above photo, Babe encompasses fine walking
horse conformation. Her deep heartgirth and great hip and shoulder
angles enable her to provide a smooth easy going gait. Her beautiful
head is graced with elegantly hooked ears and her long neck and
naturally clean throatlatch allow for easy collection and impulsion.
She is one of the most consistent and willing horses you could ask
for. "Ride with Pride" is one of the first things that
comes to mind when you are atop this marvelous mare.
Babe
is the daughter of Johnny Cash, by Johnny Midnight, and a direct
daughter of Ebony Masterpiece, Miss Ebony H. These creditials, more
than words, tell you want a fine animal she is.
Babe
is in foal to Buck. She is due mid-January 2006 and this foal is
destined to be wonderful. Check out our foal page in the future for
this announcement.

China
Dolls Chauntea Copy TWHBEA #924722
15.0
Hand Black Sabino Mare

China
Dolls Chauntea Copy, Chauntea, was an unexpected and welcome
addition to the mares of Lumbertown Farm. This amazingly talented
mare has such notable names in her pedigree as Entertaining Copy
(numerous times WHAM Sire of the Year), GLL's Carbon Copy, Roger's
Perfection, Merry Walker, Midnight Sun, The Entertainer, Ebony
Masterpiece, Mack K"s Handshaker and the list goes on and on.
Chauntea's
coloring is absolutely eye-catching. She has a beautiful refined
head and huge expressive eyes. She carries herself with an air of
elegance which did her proud in the show ring in the past. She has a
kind, willing disposition.
She
foaled an awesome classic champagne colt by Buck in October of 2005.
Perfect'ns Lethal Weapon (Gibson) is listed on our sale page and
speaks volumes for both dam and sire. We look forward to repeating
this breeding with the same amazing results.

Champagne
Queenly Aire THWBEA
#940632
15.3
Hand Black Mare

Champagne
Queenly Aire, a.k.a. Leeaire, is a black daughter of the classic
champagne stallion, Champagne Look, and out of Gold Coin's Heiress,
daughter of Pride's Gold Coin.
Leeaire
has a huge stride and lots of heart. Her sloping hindquarters and
short back allow for her to get well under herself to enhance her
gait. She has a natural head nodding, loose running walk that covers
the ground. Her easy going nature enables you to stop and chat on the
trail without any impatience and yet, her willingness to work means
you only need to ask to be covering the ground.
The
proof of her pedigree is in the individual herself. She is one of
the sweetest horses to be around. This trait, coupled with Buck's
great disposition, was passed on to her first foal, Perfect'ns
Chrystal Aire. Chrystal is a beautiful golden liver chestnut color
with both outstanding movement and attitude. She can be seen on
the foal page, too.

Rebels
Spicy Dancer TWHBEA
#946950
14.3
Sorrel Mare

Rebels
Spicy Dancer, Spice, came to us from the hills of Kentucky. She has
one of the prettiest heads you will ever see on a walking horse. This
pretty head sits on a beautiful arched neck covered in a thick, long
flowing mane. Spice puts her nice conformation to good use in a
wonderfully smooth gait.
Names
included in Spice's pedigree include Midnight Sun, Triple Threat,
Ebony Masterpiece, Merry Go Boy, and Pride of Midnight H.F.
Spice
was bred to Buck and produced a huge bright sorrel filly, Perfect'ns
Icy Shamrock (Shammi), who is listed on our sale page.

Miss
Lady's Shadow TWHBEA #962136
15.3
HH Liver Chestnut Sabino

Serena's
papers look like a who's who of both the Walking and Spotted Saddle
horse world. With a genelogy that includes greats like Spotted Alen
Again, Midnight Curlee"P", Little Merry Boy, Midnight Mack
K, and, of course, Mack K's Handshaker, this beauiful, solidly-built
mare is destine to "walk up a storm".
Serena
has only recently joined the mare band at Lumbertown Farm but we
have great expectations for this mare. She shows intelligence and
style. She is built to cover the ground and do it all day long.
Having already done the Michigan Trail Riders Shore-To-Shore ride
with a previous owner, we hope to have her on the ride again in the
near future.
Besides
outstanding color, Serena has a long elegant neck, strong back,
substantial bone and hoof. She possesses all the qualities that we
look for in a mare. Foals out of the cross between her and Buck
should be outstanding.

Peppered
with Goldust TWHBEA
#970237/CH
15.0
Hand Chestnut

Peppered
with Goldust, Chili, is the most recent addition to the mare herd at
Lumbertown. This chestnut daughter of Tennessee Goldust and F-88's
Barbie Allen shows great potential as both a broodmare and trail
horse. Her enormous kind eye seems to be a window to her soul. She
gives every indication that she will "do her daddy proud".
Chili
is a solidly built mare with excellent angles to both her shoulder
and hip. She currently lacks significant experience on the trail but
we are anxious to remedy that situation.
Chili
is in foal to Buck. She is due in March of '07 and this should be a
exciting foal! Keep watching for annoucements.

Beauty
and the Best TWHBEA #19902118/BL
14.3
Hand Black and White Tobiano

Beauty
and the Best, Belle, is a mare that exudes personality. What she
lacks in stature, she makes up in presence. This mare is build to
boogie and she does. She has plenty of heart and a wonderful mind.
Belle's
pedigree includes famous Walking Horse names like Go Boy's Shadow,
Ebony Masterpiece, Midnight Sun, Wilson's Snip Chance and more.
Belle
came to us bred to Pushin' From A Porsche and produced an absolutely
stunning black sabino filly, Beauty's Secret Legend (Legend). Because
she was bred and we had other mares to ride, Belle got last year off.
We are looking forward to hitting the trails with this snappy little
mare who is bound to catch eyes wherever she goes.
We
expect to breed Belle to Buck sometime early this year. Keep
watching for upcoming announcements.
These
are the beautiful, well-bred mares of Lumbertown Farm.
